Landscape photography around New England, with an eye toward light, timing, and the season.
I've been photographing landscapes for more than a decade, primarily around New England. Along the way I've used a variety of camera bodies and dozens of lenses, but the equipment is only part of what keeps me interested.
I especially enjoy the planning behind a shot: finding a location, thinking about the time of year and where the sun will rise or set, and using forecasts to get a sense of the light and sky conditions. Things don't always go to plan, which makes it that much more rewarding when the weather, light, and composition come together the way I hoped.
